Brian Bastable is a Managing Partner of FAX Real Estate and responsible for the overall growth, strategy and performance of the platform. Mr. Bastable previously spent 8 years at a global asset management company, where he was a Managing Director of Canadian Investments. During his tenure, Mr. Bastable was responsible for overseeing the origination and execution of real estate investments and strategic initiatives across private equity, public vehicle, and separate account platforms in Canada.
Prior to his previous role, Mr. Bastable spent 11 years with Brookfield Financial, the real estate advisory arm of Brookfield Asset Management, where he was involved in over $5 billion of transactions throughout Canada, the United States and Brazil. Mr. Bastable holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Economics from Western University (Huron College).
